HOW DO I COME TO PHYSICAL THERAPY
In the state of Texas, you can come directly to physical therapy for an evaluation. You do not need a script from a physician to be examined, evaluated, or treated. If you need help, contact us.
When you come to physical therapy, make sure you fill out the paperwork prior to your session. You should bring clothes that are comfortable that allow you to move fully. If you are having problems with your legs (pain in the hip, knee or feet), make sure to bring any shoes that you wear for daily activities or for running and walking. If you are a cyclist having pain while riding, make sure to bring your bike. We will set it up and have you ride if necessary.
DO YOU TAKE MY INSURANCE?
Corpus Performance Center is a fee for service clinic. We are not contracted with any insurance companies or Medicare. If you do have insurance, you can be provided a receipt of billing codes that can be submitted to your insurance for reimbursement for an out of network treatment. The amount of reimbursement will vary with different carriers. Corpus Performance Center does not submit your claim for reimbursement. If you would like to know the normal reimbursement rate for your specific insurance, call your insurance provider and ask about reimbursement for "out of network Physical Therapy" treatment. Also make sure to ask if pre-authorization or other requirements prior to treatment are necessary for reimbursement. Due to the amount of different insurance policies, Corpus Performance Center cannot know the specifics of your plan.
WHAT IS THE COST OF A PHYSICAL THERAPY SESSION?
The entire session is spent one on one with a therapist. There is not a restriction to focus solely on one body part and will be dedicated to getting you performing pain free as quickly as possible. Payment is due in full at the time of each session. The price can be seen at our scheduling site @mindbodyonline.
WHY DOES CORPUS PERFORMANCE NOT TAKE INSURANCE?
Physical therapy clinics that take insurance normally schedule at least 2 patients per hour. Patients are taken through exercises by assistants and there can be significant time devoted to passive modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation. This does not support the one on one model used at Corpus Performance Center. Each patient will have a full hour with the physical therapist. Time will not be spent on non-beneficial activities. This will result in faster recovery and results, helping you to achieve your goals.
WHAT ABOUT MEDICARE?
Medicare is different than normal insurance. At this time, physical therapists that are not associated with Medicare cannot see patients enrolled in Medicare. Law prevents us from providing Medicare patients with care that would be considered “normally covered services.” If you have questions, please contact us.
WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?
A 24-hour notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment. If you fail to provide a 24-hour notice or do not show up for your appointment, you will be charged a $50.00 cancellation fee.
